Websites built by Vector Web Solutions and enrolled in a qualifying Hosting, Maintenance, and Security Plan are eligible for our 5 Year Technical Warranty, beginning on the original website launch date.

The warranty is designed to provide additional peace of mind after launch. When the requirements below are maintained, Vector Web Solutions will repair covered technical issues at no additional development cost.

What the Warranty Covers

During the warranty period, Vector Web Solutions will diagnose and repair covered technical issues including:

  • WordPress core update issues
  • Issues caused by approved plugin updates or compatibility conflicts
  • Technical problems involving approved plugins installed on the website
  • Website errors or functionality failures related to the original website build
  • Malware infections and website security breaches
  • Website restoration following a covered security incident
  • Hosting or server-related website issues
  • Website outages caused by the hosting environment
  • Technical repairs necessary to maintain the functionality of the original website

Covered repairs are performed at no additional development or technical repair charge while the warranty remains active.

Requirements for Warranty Coverage

To qualify for and maintain the 5 Year Technical Warranty, all of the following requirements must remain in place:

  • The website must have been built by Vector Web Solutions.
  • The website must remain enrolled in a qualifying Vector Web Solutions Hosting, Maintenance, and Security Plan without interruption.
  • Website DNS must be routed through Cloudflare. This may be managed through either a Vector Web Solutions or client-owned Cloudflare account.
  • Vector Web Solutions’ approved WordPress login security rules must remain active.
  • Kadence Security must remain installed, active, and configured according to Vector Web Solutions’ security standards.
  • All WordPress administrator and user accounts must use strong passwords.
  • All plugins installed on the website must be reviewed and approved by the Vector Web Solutions development team.
  • Vector Web Solutions must be permitted to perform required WordPress, plugin, PHP, hosting, security, and related maintenance.

Removing or disabling required security measures, installing unapproved plugins, or making changes that prevent Vector Web Solutions from properly maintaining the website may void warranty coverage.

What Is Not Covered

The 5 Year Technical Warranty does not cover:

  • Content additions, edits, or general website changes
  • New features, functionality, integrations, or enhancements
  • Website redesigns or layout changes
  • Issues resulting from changes made by the client or an unauthorized third party
  • Unapproved plugins, themes, scripts, or custom code
  • Software or technology that has reached end-of-life or is no longer supported by its developer
  • Changes, failures, or discontinued functionality involving third-party platforms, APIs, software, or services outside Vector Web Solutions’ control
  • Domain registration or DNS changes made outside the approved configuration
  • Costs charged by third-party providers, software vendors, licensing providers, or other outside services

Security Incidents and Malware

No website or security system can guarantee complete protection against hacking, malware, or other malicious activity.

If a website covered by the warranty is compromised despite maintaining the required security configuration, Vector Web Solutions will investigate, clean, repair, and restore the website as necessary at no additional technical repair charge.

Coverage may not apply when a security incident results from compromised client credentials, removal or circumvention of required security measures, installation of unapproved software, or unauthorized changes to the website or hosting environment.

Hosting and Website Outages

Vector Web Solutions will investigate and address covered website outages and hosting-related technical issues as part of the warranty.

The warranty does not guarantee uninterrupted website availability and does not provide compensation for downtime, lost revenue, lost leads, business interruption, or other consequential losses resulting from an outage.

Warranty Period

The 5 Year Technical Warranty begins on the website’s original launch date and continues for up to five years.

Warranty coverage requires continuous enrollment in a qualifying Vector Web Solutions Hosting, Maintenance, and Security Plan and continued compliance with the requirements outlined above.

Cancellation or interruption of the qualifying plan ends warranty coverage. Re-enrollment in a maintenance plan does not automatically reinstate the original warranty.

Maintenance Without Warranty Coverage

Clients who do not meet all warranty requirements may still participate in a Vector Web Solutions maintenance plan.

In these situations, Vector Web Solutions will continue to provide the hosting and maintenance services included in the selected plan, but technical repairs that would otherwise fall under the 5 Year Technical Warranty may be billed separately.

Warranty Limitations

The 5 Year Technical Warranty applies to the repair and restoration of covered website technology. It is not an insurance policy, uptime guarantee, cybersecurity guarantee, or guarantee that third-party technology will remain available or compatible.

Vector Web Solutions reserves the right to determine whether an issue qualifies as a covered warranty repair based on the cause of the issue, the website’s configuration, and compliance with the warranty requirements.
